Jubbaland hails Senate efforts to end political crisis in Somalia

The Jubbaland state of Somalia is satisfied with mediation efforts to end the political standoff between state administrations and federal government, first Deputy Presiden thas confirmed.

Mohamud Sayid Adan was speaking during a meeting with a delegation of the upper house members in Kismayo late on Friday.

“We welcome efforts by our respectful upper house representatives to end the conflict between the government institutions,” Sayid said.

He added that Jubbaland administration is ready to find long-lasting solutions on the difference with Mogadishu.

The speaker of the upper house of the people Abdi Hashi Abdullahi who is leading conflict resolution committee has also praised the state leaders for their commitment in the mediation process.

Selected senior Somali upper house members dubbed conflict resolution committee is leading mediation efforts to end the stalemate between Villa Somalia and federal state leaders.

Led by their chair President of Puntland, Abdiweli Ali Gas, the inter-state cooperation council announced the suspension of cooperation with the federal government during a meeting in the port city of Kismayo on August.
