Al shabaab says it killed Ethiopian spy agent in Somalia

The militant Islamist group Al-Shabaab said it has killed a man accused of spying for the Ethiopian intelligence agency in central Somalia.

According to statement posted on pro-al shabaab, the militants have executed the alleged spy agent identified as Tima-Jilac at Far-Libah area, near Beledweyne town of Hiran region.

Meanwhile, area administrator Jamal Hassan has denied the Al shabaab claim of killing an Ethiopian secret agent, saying the man was a driver of a public transport operating in the region.

Al shabaab often executes men whom it accuses of collaborating with the Somali Federal government and western Intelligence agencies in areas under its control.
