Somali President jets off to Saudi Arabia for a Summit

President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo on Sunday traveled to Saudi Arabia to participate US-Arab Islamic Summit, which will kick start in Riyadh today.

Farmajo flew to Riyadh after he was invited by King of Saudi Arabia, Salman Bin Abdulaziz.

According to the reports, the Riyadh summit will focused on key issues, mainly the economy and security threats facing Arab, Islamic Nations and the United States of America.

President Farmajo will meet U.S. President Donald Trump, for the first time in Riyadh, to discuss a range of issues, including the war on Al shabaab and bilateral relations.

US Military is currently providing advisory and training to Somali National Army (SNA) and African Union Mission (AMISOM) forces battling against the militants.
