Somali President flies to Jordan for Arab Summit

A high-level delegation led by Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo fled to Jordan ahead of Arab league summit to kick start on Wednesday, March 18, in Amman city.

Reports said high-ranking officials are accompanying President Farmajo on his visit to Jordan, which becomes the third overseas trip since he was elected in February.

The drought in Somalia, and conflict in Yemen, Syria and Libya will be high on agenda of the 28th Arab Summit, according to the foreign ministry of Jordan Kingdom.

Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo paid his first visit to Saudi Arabia, a day after his inauguration. He also traveled to Kenya, where he attended the IGAD summit last week.
