Al shabaab executes Elder involved in election
Al shabaab fighters have executed Monday a 82-year-old elderly man accused of involving in the country’s parliamentary election, and voting for the new Somali lawmakers.
The elder who was identified as Osman Elmi was publicly executed at a square in Awdhegle district in Lower Shabelle region by a firing squad from Al shabaab, according to sources.
Hundreds of local residents were called to watch the execution of the elderly man.
Al shabaab has recently threatened to kill the traditional elders and delegates who took part the election of the Somali Parliament Members from the regional states.
