Bakaro market fire leads to urgent call for help

The Chamber of Commerce of Benadir region has called for solidarity and help to the business people whose property lost in recent fire engulfed Bakaro market in Mogadishu.

Speaking at a meeting in Mogadishu, the chairman of the Benadir region’s Chamber of Commerce Ali Hussein Ibrahim (Ali Kaboqori) urged the government to help the fire victims.

For his part, the chairman of Hamarweyne district business committee Osman Mohamed Awale who attended in meeting said people affected by the fire are in dire need of help.

Mohamed Herse Baabka, the chairperson of Kaaraan district business body called for not harm the business people ravaged by the recent blaze when re-building commercial centres.

This comes as a huge fire gutted down last week 500 meter square business area in Bakaro market, burning shops and stores with millions of US dollar worthy property to ashes.
