Govt forces seize control of Buhodle, north of Somalia

Reports reaching us from Togdheere region in northern Somalia indicate that pro-government forces have for the first time in more than 2 decades seized control of Buhodle town.

Gen Abdifitah Isdid, a senior Somali military commander said he is leading the Somali federal government troops controlling the city, which has been in Somaliland admin hands for years.

He said, the troops seized control of the town are loyal to the newly elected President of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, who was picked by the federal MPs in February 8.
