Somalia: Central regions assembly holds 1st session
The new parliament of the local administration for central regions has held its first session in the town of Dhusamareb on Tuesday.
The 65-member parliament has elected its new speaker and his two deputies during a ballot in Dhusamareb city, according to the reports.
Ten female MPs include the newly appointed parliament in central Somalia.
The forces for the central regions admin made gains in the war on Al shabaab since 2008, and their advances currently pose threats towards the local administration of Galmudug.
