Sharif Hassan accused of ‘leadership incompetence’
A minister has accused of the president of the Interim Southwest administration Sharif Sheikh Aden ‘leadership incompetence’ and failure in ending the conflict.
Speaking to Radio Shabelle, minister of religious affairs for Southwest has called on the newly elected federal MPs not to vote for Sharif Hassan in the next polls.
He blamed Sharif Hassan for “poor leadership” for the problems confronting the Southwest state, including Al shabaab attacks and the recurrent tribal clashes in Lower Shabelle region.
The Ethiopian-backed Southwest state president Sharif Hassan announced his candidacy for Somali president as he stays in power of his regional administration in Baidoa town.
