Troops launch sweep in Afgoye after Al-Shabab raid
Somali police and Intelligence officers have carried out a security operation in Afgoye district following a deadly Al shabaab attack on Thursday night that left at least 5 soldiers.
The operation which was carried out in and around Afgoye saw the arrest of dozens of suspects linked to last night’s raid on the town, according to security officials and residents.
Al shabaab militants have attacked the city from different direction on Thursday night and targeted military bases, killing at least five soldiers, including a senor army officer.
