Somali regional leaders leave for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Leaders of South West, Hirshabelle and Galmudug presidents Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden, Ali Abdullah Osoble and Abdikarim Hussein Guled respectively have travelled to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
The regional leaders who flew from Mogadishu airport and left for Ethiopia after National leadership Forum (NLF) failed to solve a dispute over a nullified 24 parliamentary seats by electoral disputes body.
During their stay, the regional presidents are expected to meet with high-ranking Ethiopian officials. Ethiopia has an influence in Somalia and in the country’s decision making process.
The International community has urged Somali leaders at NLF to effectively fix the alleged electoral fraud and intimidation of the voters participating the ongoing lower house elections in the country.
