At least 4 dead, 10 people wounded in Kismayo blast
A police officer says at least four people were killed, and ten wounded in a grenade bomb blast in the Somalia’s southern port city of Kismayo, about 500Km south of Mogadishu.
Col Abdullah Abdi Farah, a Somali police officer in Kismayo has confirmed the attack which has resulted from a grenade bomb hurled at a tea-shop in Farhano nighbourhood.
Farah said a woman was among those wounded in the grenade attack in Kismayo town.
In the aftermath of the cafe attack, Jubbaland security forces have cordoned off the scene near site of the incident , and arrested at least 4 suspected for the fatal bomb explosion.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the overnight explosion in Kismayo, but local police said they believed Al shabaab was responsible for the carnage.
