National Leadership Forum to open in Mogadishu
United Nations Assistance Mission (UNSOM) is set to host a National Leadership Forum for the Somali federal government and regional states leaders in Mogadishu on Wednesday.
UN special representative for Somalia Michael Keating said he has called Somali leaders to convene a NLF again in Mogadishu to discuss the much delayed presidential election which will be held in 15 Dec.
The NLF talks will also focus on the alleged electoral fraud and intimidation in the ongoing lower house elections which has been taking place in the regional states capitals of the country since last month.
Somalia is preparing to hold a presidential election before the end of this year as the 14,000 electoral college delegates are voting for the 275 seats of the parliament which will elect a president.
