Somali sports minister disrupts lower house voting
Forces loyal to the minister of youth and sports for Somali federal government Mohamed Abdullah Hussein Nuh have disrupted the lower house voting in Jowhar, and opened fire the electoral delegates.
At least three people were wounded in the gunfire at the election hall in Jowhar on Friday night which was triggered by bodyguards of the youth and sports minister of Somalia Mohamed Abdullah Hussein Nuh.
The incident has disrupted today’s voting for Hir-Shabelle state lower house elections, with reports that minister Nuh still threatens the delegates of the election as he was defeated in last night’s ballot.
The minister walked out of the election hall following his defeat in the voting and instructed his loyal soldiers and bodyguards to disrupt the electoral process and switch off the lights of the polling hall last night.
