Lower house election commenced in Jowhar
The newly established Hir-Shabelle administration has commenced the election of the lower house chamber of Somalia’s forthcoming parliament in Jowhar city.
The electoral delegates cast their votes among many parliamentary candidates in Today’s voting in Jowhar, where several heavy weight politicians, including Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir were elected.
Khadija Mohamed Dirie, a female candidate who served as the minster for human rights and women’s affairs was announced to be the first winner of the lower house election after securing her seat with majority votes.
Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, a close ally of the president and former minister for justice, Abdullahi Mohamed Ali known as “Sanbalolshe” the former NISA boss were among the winners of the election.
Hir-Shabelle state has achieved a remarkable developments since its formation, just a month ago after holding upper house election and proceeded to the voting of the lower house of Somali parliament.
