A delegate killed outside polling station in Adado
A tribal elder, who was one of the Electoral College, has been shot dead in Adado city by the security guards of the Galmudug state presidential palace on Wednesday morning, sources said.
The delegate’s death has triggered tension in Adado, as the lower house election has commenced in the city, with reports that several MPs were elected in the voting for the lower house polls.
Galmudug state officials did not comment on the murder of the delegate and the latest incidents in the town of Adado, where there is a rivalry between the local clan elders over the lower house election.
AMISOM troops and local security forces are in charge of the security of the polling station.
