Somalia: Two civilians shot dead in Afgoye district
Unidentified gunmen have shot dead two civilians, including a businessman in the southern town of Afgoye on Thursday night, an eyewitness said.
Those killed in Afgoye, 30km north west of Mogadishu were unarmed locals, and the attackers have fled the scene of crime shortly after the deadly raid.
Residents say, the two slain civilians might have been targeted in revenge for bloody animosity between two fraternal clans in Lower Shabelle region.
Security forces of the Somali federal government have subsequently cordoned off the scene, following the shooting and kicked off a manhunt for the suspects, according to the residents.
