Lower House election kick start in Adado, Galmudug
An election elect legislators representing Interim Galmudug administration in the upcoming Lower House chamber of federal parliament kicked off in Adado on Thursday.
Delegates in two polling stations of Adado city cast their votes for the candidates competing for seats of Galmudug state in the Lower House chamber.
The state minister for presidency Mahad Mohamed Salad, a close ally to the president of Somalia and Sa’eed Nur Garish, a well-known businessman became the first winners of today’s election.
Both candidates received more votes during the polls, which gave him the chance to defeat his rivals Gen Suhanyo and Nur Dahir Dirie respectively, according to the reports.
