A firm charges illegal bus fares on airport departures
Sahal company – a local firm operating in Mogadishu has charged illegal and high-priced bus fares on flight departures from Aden Adde International airport.
The local departures are compelled to pay $6 USD, while the international departures are obligated $11from KM-4 to the airport – a two minute drive.
People in Mogadishu, who spoke to Radio Shabelle say they complaining about Sahal company’s illegal money on the passengers of Aden Adde International airport departure flights.
“11$ bus fares for a 3 minutes drive from KM-4 to Adan Adde International Airport is a corruption,” said a voyager who did not want to be named, for security reasons.
The Sahal company has set up a roadblock between KM4 and the airport manned by soldiers for the travelers who don’t pay the money it charges.
The people departing from Mogadishu airport said Sahal firm is run by powerful officials in the federal government of Somalia who want to make money from this illegal business.
