Hir-Shabelle president speaks about Ethiopian troops pull out
The newly elected Hir-Shabelle state president Ali Abdullah Osoble has spoken out about the surprise withdrawals of the Ethiopian troops from several towns in southern Somalia.
He said his new administration will work on creation of new combat troops to fill the vacuum of the security, in a bid to prevent Al shabaab from taking towns vacated by the retreating Ethiopian forces.
The government of Ethiopia has on Wednesday announced it will help Somalia in the security of its territory and will remain committed to continue fighting Al shabaab militants.
On the other hand, Hir-Shabelle president has expressed hope talks with Hiiraan leaders and elders on the recognition of his administration which has faced touch challenges since it was established.
