Elder accuses president of interfering Jowhar meeting
An elder has accused Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of interfering the state formation process of Hiran and middle Shabelle which is continuing the city of Jowhar.
Speaking to Radio Shabelle, Abdirahman Ahmed Abdulle the elder said some politicians have been barred from partaking the electoral process and compete for the top leadership of the state.
He said several clans withdrew their representatives from the conference after missing their rightful share in the power-sharing system, accusing the federal government of interference.
Jowhar conference which is seeking to form an inter-regional federal state for Hiran and middle Shabelle regions is now in its final stage as the MPs are expected to pick president next week.
