MP accuses Puntland of fuelling Godinlabe fighting
A member of Somali parliament Ahmed Du’alle Gelle known as (Haaf) has accused the semi-autonomous state of Puntland of fuelling the tension in Godinlabe area in Galgaduud region.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Shabelle, the lawmaker has called on Puntland state to stop fuelling the ongoing fighting between Ahlu Sunna and Galmudug troops in central Somalia.
The parliamentarian has urged the warring sides halt the bloodshed unconditionally and end their differences through peaceful manner and dialogue instead of the gunpoint.
Galmudug forces are reportedly regained full control of Godinlabe area, from Ahlu Sunna fighters on Wednesday after a deadly battle that led to the deaths of soldiers and civilians.
