Al shabaab beheads four people over spying charges
Al shabaab fighters have publicly beheaded four people in El Ali on Tuesday afternoon, hours after Ethiopian soldiers with their allied Somali troops pulled out of the area without a battle.
Local residents said a well-known elder was among those executed by Al shabaab militants in El Ali, a small town located about 70Km west of Beledweyne, the regional capital of Hiiraan.
According to al Shabaab’s Al Andalus Radio, the executed men were sentenced to death on Tuesday after they were proved working with Ethiopian and SNA forces before their withdrawal.
A local elder living in Beledweyne, told Radio Shabelle by phone people in the El Ali area had been asked by Al Shabaab to gather at the execution site to watch the beheading of the men.
